We don't have World Market, sadly, and I wish we did, for a lot of things.

I am the laziest shopper in the world. I want to go to the Giant two minutes from my house, and nowhere else. But I will go to the ShopRite across town for Tree Tavern frozen pizzas and their cake, which is better than Giant's.

There's a huge Mexican supermarket near my apartment, which is a great place to get specialty items.

I love the ethnic spices in bags and then refill my bottles, so much cheaper and less waste.

Both our cars are dead. Damn this cold!

It's not really going to relent until tomorrow, isn't it? My parents cars are in the garage, which is insulated, but not heated. But then, neither is their house right now!

I have to drive, like, ten minutes to get to my closest Mexican store. It's really annoying.

There's a Russian food specialty shop next to my favorite Thai restaurant that I've been meaning to check out to see what they have available.

I feel so bad for your folks. We still have power, water & heat (propane), even though we're using the woodstove mostly. Yesterday was so cold the heater kicked on even though the woodstove was going.

The SO is cabbing it in to work, which will cost a freaking fortune, but I guess is better than missing the day's wages. I have some stuff this evening, and one of my friend said she'd come pick me up, but I dunno.

The SO is so stressed.

I am going out in it again today, I don't think the roads will be any worse than yesterday and I need some meds refilled, plus food for the cats.

Yeah, we have lots of meat in the freezer, but really need perishables. Which I could have got on my way home Tuesday, but wimped out because the SO was going back out as soon as I got home. Which was stupid, because it was easy for me, and was going to be a hassle for him, and then the snow just got worse, so he didn't go.

Tonight he'll get a ride home after rehearsal with a buddy, but I think the groceries will be closed by then.

Schwans man is coming tomorrow. So I can get some stuff from him.

I dunno. I guess I'll watch the thermometer today, and try the cars again when it's warmest. I brought in the jump starter, because I suspect it didn't work yesterday only because of how cold it, too, was. So I'll try to jump the wagon, and I'll try to start the van, and drive them around if I succeed.
