All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

There's a Russian food specialty shop next to my favorite Thai restaurant that I've been meaning to check out to see what they have available.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's not really going to relent until tomorrow, isn't it?

Yeah. Maybe later.

I feel so bad for your folks. We still have power, water & heat (propane), even though we're using the woodstove mostly. Yesterday was so cold the heater kicked on even though the woodstove was going.

The SO is cabbing it in to work, which will cost a freaking fortune, but I guess is better than missing the day's wages. I have some stuff this evening, and one of my friend said she'd come pick me up, but I dunno.

The SO is so stressed.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am going out in it again today, I don't think the roads will be any worse than yesterday and I need some meds refilled, plus food for the cats.

Art Crawl!!!

Walking Dead poster cf. LSD on Wednesday.

Also, I failed at ordering an iphone because I have a prepaid account and therefore do not count as a regular Verizon customer.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, we have lots of meat in the freezer, but really need perishables. Which I could have got on my way home Tuesday, but wimped out because the SO was going back out as soon as I got home. Which was stupid, because it was easy for me, and was going to be a hassle for him, and then the snow just got worse, so he didn't go.

Tonight he'll get a ride home after rehearsal with a buddy, but I think the groceries will be closed by then.

Schwans man is coming tomorrow. So I can get some stuff from him.

I dunno. I guess I'll watch the thermometer today, and try the cars again when it's warmest. I brought in the jump starter, because I suspect it didn't work yesterday only because of how cold it, too, was. So I'll try to jump the wagon, and I'll try to start the van, and drive them around if I succeed.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The middle eastern market I go to has great spices also.

Going back to the parking, when you see a car parked facing out, it is more than likely the person is/was in the military. That is the "way it is done" and the habit tends to stick in civilian situations.

CJ is back to school today. YAY! Of course, he woke me up at 5am to check the school site to see if there was a last minute closure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Back when the Mets franchise was being put together these were the favorite name possibilities:

Of the 10 left, the most popular with the committee was Continentals…The other names left on the list are Skyliners, Burros, Skyscrapers, Rebels, Bees, Nybs (pronounced nibs), Mets, Jets, and Avengers.

I'm kind of sorry they didn't go with Avengers or Skyliners.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Liese, you could try removing a car battery and taking it inside to warm up for an hour or two, then put it back in the car and try to start it then. That's what I did to start my housemate's Camry when we had five days of -30 weather in Minneapolis in '94 or whenever that was.

Of course that involves using tools in the bitter cold, so it might not be worth the trouble.

information libertarian

My Kroger has Knorr bouillon cube is two places - with soups, for $$, and with spanish labels in the Mexican section, for a lot less. Makes you realize how arbitrary and weird prices are. Goya dried beans are cheaper too, and in a different place.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I want to take a yoga class; I am just a big ball of tension, and I am losing flexibility. I used to be really flexible, and now...NSM.

The thing is, most classes I see don't fit my schedule very well -- they have morning classes, but I have to be at work by 7. They have afternoon classes, but I'm not a SAHM and am at school. And then they have 6 pm classes, but I get off at about 4, and once I make it home, I know that it is doubtful I will want to go out again.

I suppose I could stay at school longer one day a week and really get things done...but at about 4, I just want to book it away and have a cigarette.

Hmmph.
