Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently Boston has two more built-in snow days before they have to start making them up somewhere.

Because books.

We got a day tacked onto the end of the year with today's closing, but if there are more they're taking them from spring break first.

Amazing how suddenly the kids aren't as enthused about the weather.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

California and Arizona I know for sure. Not sure where else they may be now.

I've been to one in Washington state (located between Seattle and Tacoma).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like Marie Callendar for serving turkey and cranberry year round. Everything else is too salty.

The chicken pot pie was in a red box. A disgusting red box of disgustingness. Now I am reheating the chicken and rosemary rice instead. That is at least neutral.

Frozen pot pies have scared me since I read this: [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got my car dug out but the stupid thing isn't starting again. I'm going to have to wait until the weekend at this rate before I can call AAA because I've got work the next two days. SIGH

Well, that's disturbing.

When I was in college I ate a hella lot of frozen pot pies: they were 3/$1. Now I look at the salt and calorie content and back away slowly.

Of course, I had shepherd's pie for dinner last night so I'm not exactly the exemplar of healthy eating. OTOH, it was in a pub, not a chain restaurant, but it was probably at least 8,000 calories between the meat & the mashed potatoes.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that there was (and possibly still is) a Marie Callendar in the western 'burbs (of Chicago).

That's not just about pot pies. That's about the unsafeness of all frozen food.

Yeah, I know. But the pot pie association stuck in my brain.
