Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

My side of the street seems to be on a different grid than the rest of the neighborhood. My power goes out when the neighborhood several blocks away goes out.

Kathy, hooray for the kindness of strangers!

I think I shovelled about 25-30 cms of snow out of the walkway just now. That's what fell since this AM. It's been snowing steadily all day, most everything is shut down, but it's not that windy yet, so it doesn't seem too bad out. That's probably because I have a big pot of veggie chilli and nowhere to be.

My parents love to go to Marie Callender's. I am... less enthusiastic about it. Huge portions of mediocre food: I could make healthier and tastier at home.

The Sponge episode of Seinfeld is on. Which I was always reminded of during OB conversations. I never realized Elaine's boyfriend in this episode was Luke from Gilmore Girls!

I'll agree with healthier.

I just got the call -- no school tomorrow for me, either.

I agree with them, but I am going to be teaching till July at this rate. STOP IT, Mother Nature.

My son is hoping there will be more snowdays so his birthday will end up being on a school day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently Boston has two more built-in snow days before they have to start making them up somewhere.

Because books.

We got a day tacked onto the end of the year with today's closing, but if there are more they're taking them from spring break first.

Amazing how suddenly the kids aren't as enthused about the weather.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

California and Arizona I know for sure. Not sure where else they may be now.

I've been to one in Washington state (located between Seattle and Tacoma).
