My side of the street seems to be on a different grid than the rest of the neighborhood. My power goes out when the neighborhood several blocks away goes out.

I think I shovelled about 25-30 cms of snow out of the walkway just now. That's what fell since this AM. It's been snowing steadily all day, most everything is shut down, but it's not that windy yet, so it doesn't seem too bad out. That's probably because I have a big pot of veggie chilli and nowhere to be.

My son is hoping there will be more snowdays so his birthday will end up being on a school day.
Apparently Boston has two more built-in snow days before they have to start making them up somewhere.
We got a day tacked onto the end of the year with today's closing, but if there are more they're taking them from spring break first.
Amazing how suddenly the kids aren't as enthused about the weather.
