Oh yeah. Marie Callendar's was the bomb when I was a kid. I can still taste their cornbread with honey-butter from memory. Those potpies were like crack to me. They also had some soups I liked.

We used to have one here in town. I thought they were a western thing.
They were in Colorado when I lived there.
The MC restaurants I visited were in California's East Bay and San Diego.
I went to one in San Antonio.
My side of the street seems to be on a different grid than the rest of the neighborhood. My power goes out when the neighborhood several blocks away goes out.

I think I shovelled about 25-30 cms of snow out of the walkway just now. That's what fell since this AM. It's been snowing steadily all day, most everything is shut down, but it's not that windy yet, so it doesn't seem too bad out. That's probably because I have a big pot of veggie chilli and nowhere to be.
