Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Amy, looks like "I" bought an iPod dock and a phone. Of course they had already been shipped them when I contacted the company. Not sure if they will be able to recoup the money. But they are refunding mine.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Well, they should be able to track the shipping addy and see who got it. Maybe they'll get 'em that way. Fuckers.

Because books.

UGH. Nothing worse, man. Stupid thieves.

My onerous task so far seems to be getting my ass in any kind of gear. Even a low one.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This picture (from the Trib) is better: Abandoned vehicles litter northbound Lake Shore Drive on Tuesday morning.

Looks like a scene from The Walking Dead or something.

Seriously, I can't imagine having gone anywhere near Lake Shore yesterday afternoon or evening with everything they were saying was about to hit.

Did you see there was a guy out watching the waves at Diversey Harbor who apparently got swept in by them? Ugh. Though that sounds like the only fatality being reported so far.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did you see there was a guy out watching the waves at Diversey Harbor who apparently got swept in by them?

I hope my last thought when I die isn't, "Jesus, that was stupid. Why did I do that?"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OKCupid sold out to Match.com.

I wonder what effect that will have.

IO9 is still stupidly broken, for the record. And it's highly irritating that the network it testing the redesign on the sci fi geeks. Get an internal testing team, lazybones. Also, cheapasses.

Where is my project's developer? He missed the meeting! It was important!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So apparently I'm going to be out of work for two weeks, one way or another. Even if they go the contractor route they have to keep the RFP on the street for two weeks.

::shrugs::

If I weren't trying to save money because I'm planning to sell my house, I'd go to Hawaii or something. Well, I can do work around the house, and exercise, and write a lot, and maybe get some skiing in. And catch up on Downton Abbey and The Walking Dead...

I spend way too much time on NOAA.gov. While temps are slowly rising, we will have brief period of snow through Saturday and it looks like next week will be a repeat of this week with a stronger storm coming through Sunday/Monday and crazy low temps.
