I would be there right now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OKCupid sold out to Match.com.

I wonder what effect that will have.

IO9 is still stupidly broken, for the record. And it's highly irritating that the network it testing the redesign on the sci fi geeks. Get an internal testing team, lazybones. Also, cheapasses.

Where is my project's developer? He missed the meeting! It was important!

What?? Oh dear.

So apparently I'm going to be out of work for two weeks, one way or another. Even if they go the contractor route they have to keep the RFP on the street for two weeks.

::shrugs::

If I weren't trying to save money because I'm planning to sell my house, I'd go to Hawaii or something. Well, I can do work around the house, and exercise, and write a lot, and maybe get some skiing in. And catch up on Downton Abbey and The Walking Dead...

I spend way too much time on NOAA.gov. While temps are slowly rising, we will have brief period of snow through Saturday and it looks like next week will be a repeat of this week with a stronger storm coming through Sunday/Monday and crazy low temps.

Ski the fuck out of life, Consuela. That's absurd.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Impressive photos of Chicago. Any reports on how much snow fell?

That's absurd.

Yeah, pretty much. The Big Boss is coming over this afternoon to talk to me about it, but I don't much care. I don't care how bad you feel, dude: just get this shit resolved.

My one great fear is that someone will tell IT to shut down my email address, and when I come back I won't be able to get any of my thousands of emails back.

God, I love this place. Some people do the Weather Channel, we say "fuck that, I want raw data ".

That's such a mess, Consuela. I hope you do enjoy the time, at least.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Consuela, that just sucks. Do something fun.

I am so glad we had a snow day. By the time I got home yesterday (early...at 11:45am), I felt pukey. I ended up sleeping about 16 hours between yesterday afternoon and this morning. I feel a TON better now. Go, Snowpocalypse!
