Not like they used to be, sadly.
Well, you're still getting dates so I gotta figure you haven't crossed the Mr. Hyde threshold.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

We are Jessica's weather here, with added Giant Piles of Snow in the road because the city didn't plow anything but main arteries last week. It's like driving through the badlands during a rainstorm. And yet, I am thrilled school opened 2 hours late because HKF has been to school about 2 days out of the last 14 due to snow, planning days, and holidays.
(I won't tell you what it looks like outside my office so you don't hate me.)
This is my weather! But a little bit warmer and windier.
Do you all find it weird that the hospitals here all have valet parking?
I totally want a pedicure and a massage, but I have to be careful with pedicures, because I get those white spots from not enough oxygen getting through to my nails.
OK, that is an excellent reason for me to hold off! My toenails still look bad, and it's not like I'm displaying them. Phew!
So I will just do my own fingernails, get the brows done, and call it a day.

Nicely finessed balance of responsibility and indulgence.
ION, Anderson Cooper apparently got roughed up by a crowd in Egypt.
The hospital where I delivered the baby here in MD has valet parking, so no.
I don't get manicures and pedicures anymore, but the woman who does my eyebrows is a genius and I haven't been able to give her up despite my relentless budget cutting.
The lady who last did my eyebrows did them wrong. She thinned them all along, instead of just cleaning up the arch. Not that anyone but me noticed, I'm sure. But still.

He's blaming pro-Mubarak provocateurs: [link]
Thank you all for reminding me that I desperately need to make a haircut appointment. (Mani/pedi will wait until spring, when I'm willing to show my toes in public & my daughter is past the "needs a finger to suck on" phase.)
Things in Cairo are going really badly. Twitter is back up and the news is terrible. Apparent the regime has sent in armed "pro-Mubarak demonstrators" who are hired. Lots of violence. I was so hopeful until today.
