I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hope Billytea clan is in an area where they will be safe when it hits.

We're all well down south and out of the way - there's even been flooding down here in Victoria from these weather patterns, but here around Melbourne our natural disaster will most likely be more bushfires. But this cyclone is huge. Its area of effect would pretty much cover the US, and they're predicting winds over 320 kph. I just don't know what will still be standing in north Queensland after this.

The government's trying to raise a levy of something like $5 per person for disaster relief. The opposition is trying to fight it, for reasons that pass understanding.

I hope you're all keeping safe there too, I had a bad winter in Philly but nothing like this.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ack, Suzi, what a PITA.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That is crazy-big. Damn.

Ugh. I can't sleep. 3:30 am. YAY.

I rearranged some stuff in the dining room, deconstructed a withering bouquet into three little bouquets, and am having a wee glass of sherry.

I feel very genteel in my insomnia.

Yeah. This includes the weather pattern disruptions as well as the cyclone itself, but -- this is a big one.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I found this posted elsewhere. I don't know the source, sorry.

Typhoon off Australia.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've seen some maps superimposing the storm on the US and other places. It's boggling [link]

Perkins, you should be asleep! I had a lot of emails with OMartin yesterday about his old job (still not applying) - did he email you? He tried to tell me his daughter graduated from college two years ago, so I called him a liar.

Temps here are above freezing, so I don't have to skate into work. That's good. I do however, have to go, and Pfft! is a good summary of how I feel about that.

You are not wrong. I was, too, but I seem to not be anymore.

I'm not sure what happened to the no insomnia thing I had going, but whatever it is can bite me.

He did email me! I need to answer him still though. At least she's not getting married yet.

At least she's not getting married yet.

Right. Because she's 12. 13 at most. Possibly 16.

My DH is going to Beijing on Valentine's Day. Minus a thousand million husband points! Last year, this was the meeting he went to in Vienna, while I was snowed in with baby and dog, so I am a little twitchy at the prospect. Then he's home for a few days, and then gone again for a week to NYC. Twitch, twitch.
