Stay safe, people! Kathy, I am kind of tempted to tell you to go home right now. You don't want to wait until it gets really bad -- that's when you want to be home already.

The direct route involves going through Arkansas to Memphis, then I-40 across Tennessee to Knoxville or so and up I-81.

We're getting a lot of rain today in Nashville, and the temps are supposed to go below freezing tonight, but I think that should be after the rain has mostly stopped. Tomorrow it'll also hover around freezing for most of the day, but I'd bet the interstates will be fine.

IO9 has redesigned. It's awful, and their testers should be shot.

I concur.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The snow is, so far, pretty light, and even with the wind blowing, visibility is perfectly fine. I just talked with my boss, who doesn't have any snow at the office on the north side yet, and told her I'd be out of here by 2:15 at the latest, which is eight hours after I got here this morning. Also, I only have a five mile commute home.

Surgery is done. She had some constriction since last time but it opened back up even more so. We have another surgery in 6 weeks. thanks for the vibes.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Glad it went ok, Kat. I hope Ms. Grace is feeling ok after surgery.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They let the schools out early here, which I just think is a terrible idea. I mean, I'm sure many parents can't get back from work or where ever in time -- it didn't sound like there was much notice.

Once again, I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow! But if we're open, I'm here. I just wish I trusted the van driver a little more....

I hate to admit it, but I'm a little jealous of the Snowpocalypse.

Grace was less angry by the time we got to her today. But they'd only let one of us up into the recovery room at a time. So I sent Katie and continued to read the nook instead. Now I'm bedside and she is fast asleep. When bothered, she gives you a very angry look with her orca eye.

ALSO I think the fentanyl works wonders for angry in-pain kids.

It works for adults, too. Poor noodle.

Olivia is skating around the kitchen in her new, birthday derby skates. She's already asked me when we can go skating.
