Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

We watched Wolverine: Origins last night. I was anticipating a bad movie, but I really had no idea how bad it was?

That movie should have been called We Took a Whole Bunch of Marvel Characters and Changed Nearly Everything About Them. It's an affront to both Marvel continuity, which is annoying, and the X-Men MOVIE continuity, which is worse.

Another alternate title is Hugh Jackman Roars a Lot, Sometimes Naked, Often Shirtless.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy birthday, Anne!

If they'd cut the rest of the movie out and just kept these parts it would be a lot better.

My tummy and head are very unhappy. Stupid alcohol.

OTOH, while drunk I picked up some girl and apparently invited her home with me. She was all ready to come, until my friend I was with explained to me that I had invited her home (which I truly don't remember) and I was like 'Oh, I don't think that's a good idea'. Oy. But still! She was willing!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. The Winter Strom Watch has been upgraded to a Blizzard Watch: [link]

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch for the entire Chicago area effective Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday. Snowfall totals in excess of 12 inches coupled with winds of 25 to 40 mph will make long distance travel extremely dangerous if not impossible. This storms main impact is still 48 hours away, and an exact storm track is yet to be determined. However, a majority of forecast model guidance suggests the heaviest snow should fall over northern Illinois and northern Indiana. 12" to 18" totals may be common with locally higher amounts of 20"+ possible.

Oh well - on the bright side, there's only 1 month of meteorological winter left to go.

Happy Birthday, Anne!

Men's final: I would like Murray better if he were less disappointing.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Holy crap--looks like I might be taking Wednesday off of work. All the rest of my department have computers so they can work from home, but I don't since I'm only five miles from work, but I do not want to be driving in an 18" blizzard.

I was going to go for a swim on Tuesday night, but I might go Monday night instead.

Well, if the snow stops on Wednesday, he might have to stay an extra day, but he'll probably be able to get out on Thursday. They clean off the runways pretty quickly, even if they have to shut down during the storm itself.
