Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm trying to work on my taxes. TurboTax is telling me that the state of Pennsylvania owes me a bit over $20,000. I have a feeling this is wrong. But I went through the numbers a bunch of times, and it looks like I entered everything right. Except for box 14. TurboTax wants me to enter the information from box 14 of my W2, and I don't seem to have a box 14.

edit: I figured out the problem. Now it says that I owe $2.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday, Anne!

I hope you had a ggod time, BT. I got kinda zonked out there towards the middle, and then woke up for the trophy ceremony.

I did have a good time, though the tennis itself wasn't the best quality. (I don't much like Djokovic, he plays pretty dull power tennis; I do like Murray, but he's too prone to unforced errors.) Nonetheless, there were some fantastic moments, and it was very enjoyable being part of the occasion.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Anne!

I had to skip several hundred posts, so my apologies if I missed something crucial in there.

We watched Wolverine: Origins last night. I was anticipating a bad movie, but I really had no idea how bad it was? How did I not know this? (Not that it was unwatchable--I mean I can forgive a lot for a glimpse of nekkid Hugh Jackman.)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

But, but, Gambit!

Yeah, I know, it's a bad movie.

Because books.

I watched Jonah Hex for ten minutes of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, so I get it. And it actually ended up being a fairly fun movie.

I enjoyed Jonah Hex. The dream-type sequences were fascinating. But then, I watch a lot of movies at the dollar theater that I wouldn't otherwise watch. If it's an odd sci-fi/fantasy-ish move, Hubby and I are there at the dollar movie.

Oh yeah, I liked Gambit too. But oy! I am the first to admit I don't really know the X-Men canon, but they seemed to just be changing stuff willy nilly.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That movie should have been called We Took a Whole Bunch of Marvel Characters and Changed Nearly Everything About Them. It's an affront to both Marvel continuity, which is annoying, and the X-Men MOVIE continuity, which is worse.

Another alternate title is Hugh Jackman Roars a Lot, Sometimes Naked, Often Shirtless.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy birthday, Anne!

If they'd cut the rest of the movie out and just kept these parts it would be a lot better.
