this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was driving behind a Mini the other day that had a bumper sticker that said "Actual Size." Love!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Woo, I just ran a bunch of errands, and now the fridge is fully stocked for the first time in two weeks. YAY.

-t, thanks! My seniors are reading Beowulf, and it's been hard slogging for them, so I'm hoping this paper will turn out some creative interest and some great reading.

Talking for five hours straight will do that for ya'.

Fo shizzle. If I didn't get snow days and summers off, I would really be irritated, because my husband makes 20K more than me, I teach my ass off, talking and walking from 7 am to 4 pm (at least), and then I come home and grade and work on lesson plans for at LEAST an hour a night (more usually about 3) and I work on school stuff about 5-8 hours on weekends.

And he works from 6-2:30 and is...done.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah. My head is totally killing right now. I love it. I really enjoyed the material we were teaching today. We had a great and responsive class. And still? So done.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hate driving around Minis, because most of the ones I see on my commute are not quite as small and nimble as their drivers seem to think they are, and I've seen a few accidents and a hell of a lot of close calls as a result.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

My Roadmaster could eat three Minis for breakfast and still manage a sweet turning radius.

hip deep in pie

Man, I am really out of shape. I think I hurt myself carrying groceries home from the store.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, on the offchance that home renovation hell allows Colin to come over tomorrow, the place should be decent, right? Right? Shit.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

January Jones is quoted in People magazine as saying that her golden globes dress (the one remiscent of red ace bandages) as "demure yet feminine and sexy." ROFLMAO

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

why the awkward balancing act crazy cat?

Mine likes to sleep on my shins or knees. For a not slender cat, she's bony as all hell.

I think breathing is going to win over braining. Oh, Sudafed, I loathe you, but I need you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, I am really not better. But had a successful outing anyway! Went to the Mapparium, had a drink at The Top of the Hub, and then some noodles, but then I had to send my date on his way and come back home, because I am wiped. Bleh! But at least I got out of the house.

The real question is why I don't go to the Top of the Hub all the damn time -- I thought the drinks would be much more expensive, to pay for the 52nd floor view, but no! Normal prices. So I will go there more for sure. Although I guess it gets crowded at night, but still. Great, great views.
