Because books.

Stephen and I quote The Princess Bride and Young Frankenstein in equal measure with each other, around the house. It's funny when it confuses the kids.

Edited because I'm not actually married to a pretty girl named Stephena.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Lots of Aliens quotes at our house. And Beetlejuice.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh yes, and ita, if you aren't watching Archer you should just to use this quote:

"Karate?! The Dane Cook of martial arts?! No. ISIS agents use Krav Maga."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Archer is bananas. And new last night! Woot.

"Game over, man! Game over!"

That's my most used from Aliens. Bill Paxton really sells that one.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

After "Dot Dot Dot" went viral last week, that became the standard bellow for a game we hate to test: "BLAAAAAM THIS PIECE OF CRAP!"

And sometimes, when I require more information from my test lead or the manager: "Explain to me. EXPLAIN TO ME!"

Yes, and Emmett was in a frenzy of excitement about it. He high-five and knucklebumped me until my fingers were sore.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister and I love Princess Bride together more than we love anything together. We will cheerfully recite chunks of the movie at each other. Despite having seen it upwards of 30 times now, I've never seen it with her. Well, not with her in the room. I think I've watched it with her on the phone once.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I remember taking a trip to Italy with my parents and my brother when I was 16. Two weeks (or more?) of gorgeous Italian scenery, art, food, etc., and the whole time my brother and I talked to each other almost exclusively in Princess Bride quotes and Monty Python quotes.

My poor parents.
