Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I do kind of wonder about that kind of thing in general. Walmart gave a ton of money to my (allegedly) lesbian abortionist ex-employer, and I'm pretty sure the conservative world still has no problem with them overall.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Suicide Bomber Done In by Errant Text Message

A bizarre tale out of Moscow on the hazards of being a suicide bomber: A woman intended to blow herself up in Red Square on New Year's Eve and inflict mass casualties, but she received a "Happy New Year" text message that detonated her bomb too early, reports the Telegraph. As a result of the miscue, the blast killed only her.

The newspaper, quoting anonymous Russian security officials, says the woman was at a safe house preparing for the attack when the spam text arrived. Normally, bombers leave their phones off until the last moment, but investigators think the woman got careless. She is believed to be from the same Black Widow group blamed in the recent deadly airport bombing attack in Moscow.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did not know that about Chick-fil-a. sad now.

Yesterday was gorgeous here and today should be also (70 degrees!). I raked 100 gal of leaves yesterday and planted some bulbs (late, I know). I am hoping to do more of the same today, I have hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils to plant.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I want very badly to play Scrabble with Paul Rudd, and win. I don't even care if he gets naked. I'm just really competitive at Scrabble. He makes a statement like that? BRING IT ON, RUDD.

Today is probably going to shape up to be very sad, but I'm not willing to commit to it yet. Many decisions and phone calls with my vet before anything final at 2:30.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That reminds me of when Mike Nelson said he would take on all challengers in games of Doom at the '96 Conventio-Con. Of course, he proceeded to wipe the floor with all but one of the assembled nerds that played against him.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, amyth. I'm so sorry. I'm free this evening if you want company, either way.

Coding and Sleeping

The newspaper, quoting anonymous Russian security officials, says the woman was at a safe house preparing for the attack when the spam text arrived.

So now spam has saved lives. That seems so wrong.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Russian spam has saved lives, probably.
