The CTA is having a series of public meetings about the proposed changes. I think I'll go to the one tomorrow night (on Morse) and tell them not to close the Jarvis station.

Alderman Joe Moore of Chicago's 49th Ward said he was blindsided by the fact that the CTA is even entertaining closing the Jarvis station. His ward office is located at that stop, as are stores and restaurants that have reinvigorated the area in recent years. “If that El station closed, it could very well signal the demise of the Jarvis Square business district,” said Moore.

Got a call this afternoon from my credit card company(no way to make this anything good) saying my payment was late. I put the payment in the mail on the 6th. Argh. I authorized a transfer from my bank account to avoid the late fee, but next month's bill is going to be hideous. Ugh.
