Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

In non-robbery, non-shooting news, I met my invisible Internet blogger tonight for the Orphée opera thing and was not axe-murdered! In fact, I had a pretty good time and met some other bloggers on the classical music/opera circuit. They were all super sweet even though I felt like a total poseur with them (since all the performers, publicists, etc. kept making a point of coming over to chat with "us").

So what did you end up wearing?? How did you feel that fit in?

(oh sure yay for not being ax murdered)

Oh, I was just in work clothes, which was fine. It was all pretty casual. The blogger I was most nervous about meeting actually turned out to be quite shy (and so not intimidating at all). She had also read my blog and put me right at ease. (ETA: There was a reception afterwards which gave everybody a chance to chat)

But were they scruffy chic work clothes? :)

No, they were my uptight New Englander work clothes. But I felt comfortable in them.

Glad you had a good time, Megan.

Thanks, java. I wish I could have done both though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have pinkeye. WTF! I don't think either of the kids I was actually with even have it, but I did spend a half-hour in the "sick" waiting room of a pediatrician's office. Booo.

hip deep in pie

I had a guy die in the flophouse across the street from my apartment way before the Buffistas. The rumour was that he was beaten to death, but the police called it natural causes.

There were a ton of people and cars at the house of the very old lady who lives across the street from me last night. I figure it's a birthday or she's died. I already thought she died once, because I hadn't seen her for months and her kids seemed to be fixing up the house. I thought maybe they were getting ready to sell it.
