yeah, and I never learned to type. How often do people really have admins type up something from a handwritten copy? REALLY?!?!?
If I am typing from my head the speed is completely different than from copying a document.
IOW, I will fail a typing test. OR, I will start practicing with some online thingy and get my speed up.
I can't imagine what I would get on a typing test. I took typing in eighth grade and never really got it right.
I joined twitter yesterday and today - it pays off - the NWF posted 10 things you may not know about groundhogs.
msbelle - there's an online game caller typer shark (or something like that) that one of my dispatch coaches had me play during down time to improve typing speed and accuracy for things like numbers and punctuation and random capitalization (i.e. not typing what you are thinking - at which i am fantastic). It was helpful and less onerous than the typing tests for temp agencies. I did some of those and the things that tripped me up were always random capitalization of numbers.
eta: i'd post a link, but since our internet "upgrades" i can no longer access online games. thpppppppt.
So, the tumblr queue situation is effed up again, sorry. FYI.
Hec, dear, this made me think of you: [link] what with the bubblegum and all.
I am trying to decide if I go in or just keep working from home today. No real reasons for me to go in work tasks wise. New boss is working at home today. Roads are likely fine but may crap up again by evening commute. I guess only reason for going in would be to impress people who actually don't care.
Also, if I stay home I can go to a late afternoon yoga class.
As long as no one pisses me off, we're good.
Stay home, lisah! I only came in because it's much easier to yell at people for information when you are physically present.
