My mind is in the right spot when I look through menus.
Cheering you on Kathy - menus are so hard. Sounds like you are doing it right!
ION OMG Downton Abbey. Does this have a home in the tv threads somewhere? I'm slow to find it if so.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I don't think it does, Sox. That reminds me--I should check it out OnDemand tonight or tomorrow morning before it gets replaced with the new ep tomorrow night. Either that, or watch it online.
I'm going to cook up some lemon chicken tomorrow, so I'll have meals for the whole week between the lemon chicken, sesame chicken, and the rest of the chili I made last weekend.
I'm going to put the chicken breasts into a foil pouch with water and lemon juice, sliced lemons and onions on top, and lemon pepper, salt, and a few other spices, and then cook it at 350 for 45 minutes. Does that sound like enough time to poach them?
One of my favorite antique places in Ellicott City is closing down. Makes me sad. I got awesome glass from them, and had my eye on a desk I kinda loved in theory, but not actual style. And they had a maine coon I called Bob, who turns out is in fact, Bob. Always gave him some love when I went to get a haircut.
It's a landlord thing, had a long talk with one of the owners, they aren't happy at all. Main business is auctions, but this was their side of retail, and I loved it.
For those into ruins, I offer Ani, Ghost City of 1001 Churches - completely abandoned city between Turkey and Armenia that reached its peak in the mid-18th century, and was a rival to Constantinople, Baghdad and Cairo in its time.

Ah, I haven't read the Doctor Who books it sprang from(I've read a few summaries as part of figuring out what the hell) so I guess we're coming from opposite ends. Perhaps we'll meet in the middle eventually (I don't know what that means, either.) Oh, you might enjoy Miles' comments on The Ancestor Cell if you haven't seen them: [link]
After talking about how many items of clothing you need to bring, I saw this somewhere else. Have you heard of 6 for 6? [link]
I don't think I could do that, but I really do want to pare down my closet to some quality basics and a few "must have that"s.
Huh. Did you realize that no less than six major operas are set in Seville?
Bizet's Carmen, Rossini's The Barber of Seville, Verdi's La forza del destino, Beethoven's Fidelio, Mozart's Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro.
Have you heard of 6 for 6?
While I agree most people have way more clothes than they need, I don't get the point of that one.

Or, as I'll always think of it, the city where I met Ascot Man.
There's not really a point to be made. Just doing it for whatever reason you want to do it. I think when I redo my closet, I'm going to get 6-10 basics I can wear for a month or two before figuring out a style and working that in.
I haz all your Kat! Had a great time with the fam.
Such a good crazy day today. I'm tired, but it was worth it. Heading out for a midnight show now, Young Dubliners.
