It's just interesting to me.
It is! We can continue this conversation! I've been starved for it! Although I maintain, I would really like to see more
neurofuckingtypical asexuals or easily-read-as-asexuals, speaking as a non-neurotypical sexual who is deeply disturbed by how often non-neurotypical characters are either explictly or easily read as asexual. As I said before in LJ.)
(It's funny, I find him sort of otherworldly beautiful as Sherlock, but am possessed with no strong desire to drool over him in that role. Show me him with his natural sort of gingerish hair, and I want to climb that boy like a fucking tree.)
Really? I find him far more striking (and fanciable) with the dark hair.
you really should see Benedict Cumberbatch in a heterosexual sex scene.
Got any to suggest?
Made the mistake of thinking I could have Sherlock in the background while I worked. NSM. And I know I can't be the only one who went to a
"I've spent the last two years building up a resistance to iocaine powder"
place on that big showdown.
Cass and I, with much discussion on this, have determined our reading is more
I would tend to agree that he's
demisexual
but not so much
homoromantic
as
Watsonromantic.
Seriously. I always said Captain Jack Sparrow wasn't heterosexual or homosexual but Jacksexual, and I think Holmes is Watsonromantic.
Although I maintain, I would really like to see more
I'm SO into Big Bang Theory now, and I dislike the conflating of Sheldon as asexual because he's neuro-atypical, or vice versa. A LOT.
And all of my reading (which has been going on for some few months now, not just recently) has me suspecting I'm rather more demisexual than heterowhatever. Which...is weird to try to process as a new way of viewing myself, but also a relief. And I might come back and delete this paragraph.
can't be the only one who went to a
Ahahahaha!!! I said the same thing to Tim! "I've SEEN
The Princess Bride;
I KNOW how this scenaro goes!!!"
(Since I've not read the books, I had no idea what might happen. But my other guess was that
both pills were poison but the cabbie took an antidote to it
ahead of time.)
I would love to explore this conversation. For um, reasons. Some of which pertain to Sherlock.
Really? I find him far more striking (and fanciable) with the dark hair.
He's far more striking, but something about his natural coloring makes me go raar! I think it's because he goes from alien to adorable or something.
Got any to suggest?
The Last Enemy. I mean, I'm not claiming it's GOOD, but I have a Thing for it.
Tep, insent.
I should watch Sherlock.
What is demisexual? (Yes, I know -- something sexual I've not heard of! I'm a perv, not an encyclopedia.)
I *very* much like the actor who plays Watson. Much more than Jude Law's portrayal, actually.
But, uh, RDJ makes me think Impure Thoughts, so I can't quite make myself compare -- is it Cumberbatch? (Bumbershoot?) -- to RDJ.
Actually, I think Cumberbatch nails the "No, I really AM a sociopath and you need to fuck off out of my way right now" *much* better than RDJ did. But RDJ is so pretty! And he's all Tony Stark and...gnah.

I should edit to note that the second paragraph of that page is where the explanation makes sense. The first paragraph makes my head hurt.
