Daisy Jane's link reminded me that there's a really good CBC show about advertising called The Age of Persuasion, that's now available on PRI in Chicago (they are now broadcasting TAL on CBC as some sort of exchange), and is, finally available as a podcast. I think Buffistas would love it.

Kathy, I know you mentioned working with a dietitian after your surgery. Did she provide things like sample menus for you?
She just had a basic "this is what you'll be eating for the first few weeks after surgery" list of the progression from clear liquids to full liquids to pureed foods to very soft foods. Once I hit the soft foods stage, I was able to segue into regular foods as my stomach was able to handle it. I still can't deal with beef, at least not roast beef or brisket, and I haven't tried a beef hamburger yet, either.
I think if I asked her for help with menus or recipes, she might be able to give me a few, but I've been dieting for so long that I know how to read menus and nutrition labels, so I'm pretty sure I can handle that on my own. To be quite honest, I'm really not all that concerned about excess fat or even calories at this point--I'm just looking for foods I can keep down.
I had the insides of a beef pot roast sandwich from Culver's for breakfast last Saturday, which was very tasty and stayed down with no problem. Yes, it was high in sodium and probably fat, too, but it was also high in protein, which was my main concern. The night before, I had the chili supreme from Culver's, which is their chili with cheese and sour cream added. OMG, soooo good! But, I won't be eating that too often, just because it's an indulgence not a staple.
I've got a shopping list put together for tonight, which includes getting some lemons and fresh thyme for a chicken recipe I'm going to improvise--I figure I'll just poach it in water with some lemon added for flavor and toss in some spices including the thyme. I've also got a jar of my dad's awardwinning BBQ sauce (they won the Chicago Tribune's RibFest back in 1988--a big thing in Chicago!), so I can always cook up some BBQ chicken.

Flea, I second the 'must get something from the office/go to work for an hour' strategy. I had one snow day yesterday and am so glad school's back in today - totally wiped out from the sledding-whining-sledding-tantrum-snowman-hot chocolate process. (Seriously, six? you can go on and get over yourself, anytime.) So I don't know how you're not locking yourself in your bathroom and letting the house get crafted over by now. You are my hero.
Wow, Cumberbatch gives off a whole different aura when he's ginger, doesn't he? There's a guy I could snuggle with all day, if, you know, the hubby wouldn't mind.
Yep. I find Sherlock as portrayed by Cumberbatch to be beautiful in an utterly alien, non-sexual way.
Cumberbatch as himself, on the other hand, is just sexy as hell in a completely adorkable fashion. (It's not even the ginger thing. He's still got the Sherlock hair in the video of him reading Little Red Hen, and is still at the extra-slender Sherlock weight, and it STILL fills one with the conflicting desires to pinch his cheeks and climb him like a tree.)

I want to set off (or rephrase?) "presumed more important" and make it clear that I don't actually think it's more important. Thoughts? Hyphens? Quotes? Something?
Change "presumed" to "presumably"?
