Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I should note that I was not the one who pressed it. Even I know that big, red, unlabeled buttons should not be poked with sticks or otherwise.

Can you set fires on them? Or near them? Tiny ones?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Aliens is a great braindead movie--just put it in and turn off your mind.

JZ, gee, what a raging bitch Rage Nurse is. Feh on her.

why is Indiana POPCORN

Orville Redenbacher!!

I finally got over to the pool tonight, and was able to swim a full 18 laps before my toes and calves started cramping up too much to continue. I'm definitely going back there on my day off Friday, and possibly tomorrow night, too. My goal is to add two laps each time I go until I get myself back up to 33 laps. I did the 18 laps in 46 minutes, so I figure I can get the 33 laps in 80 or so to start and then start whittling it down.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Go, Kathy, go!

Well, Chickie got the short, very annoying end of the stick. Don't know what to think about Ben's little fling. Continue to love Lydia and find Josie interesting. Also, did I miss an ep or was the bit at the end some HSQ? I mean Sammy possibly not being the father .

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Can you set fires on them?

Their mission is fire suppression. They are the antisomething to my superpower.

I have fire screen options now! I knew that the hivemind was smarter than me tonight.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I feel kinda bad for Chickie, but I really think she has to work out that situation for her own to get her place back in room. She'll have more sympathy this time round, though.

WRT Sammy, they had made mention of her (I disliked her too much to remember her name--she drives me BATSHIT) being interested in photography, and made me wonder if they'd explicitly mentioned her teacher. Shades of Terriers, there.

I think as long as Ben is keeping his eyes open, he should be good. And don't let his pic be taken.

Interesting to see addict John trying to negotiate with a bunch of AA people. And losing.

Regina King continues to rock, and I enjoy her new partner, but I still miss the original one.

Outside of the fireplace?

It's not really a fireplace for pure heat. I mean, it does put out lovely heat but mostly it's a brick fireplace with a hanging mesh screen that isn't fine enough to hold back the crazy flamey spit that this wood puts out.

Honestly, I want to own a place just to have a gas fireplace that is energy efficient and maybe a woodstove for heat. And an awesome bathtub. A girl can dream....

Tcha. Have you SEEN my gas bill? Clearly not. It's HUGE! Stupid pilot light. I turned it off in the summer, but it's too much of a pain to turn off all winter and only light when you want a flame...
