information libertarian

Engineers are supposed to be practical people! They can build bridges and stuff! They just can't operate a phone tree or a web site, apparently.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay baby pictures! So sweet.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am wondering if we're going to be homebound all week at this point.

They're saying the sun, plus sublimation, should clear a lot of roads today. We can only hope.

Engineers are practical only in the range of their very narrow specialties.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

My favorite is Jess, Dylan, and Aeryn together on the couch. Beautiful pics, Jess.

Good for Cass! And also good for stable.

Excellent rugby calendar, thank you! I explored the possibility of purchasing a hard copy (shut it) to grace my office wall. Lord knows it's pretty, but I can buy a lot of compensatory pretty for that price. Still, nummy.

H fusses at me for coming to bed late and getting up later than he does. Not my fault the man needs 10 hours of sleep. I have trouble sleeping six in one go. And I have trouble falling asleep, so often I'm up till 3:00 or thereabouts.

We lost power dead on midnight last night. No internet, no electricity to run the computer to work on offline stuff, no light to read by, though I suppose I could have managed candles. I brushed my teeth and went to bed.

And woke at 5:00. Tried really hard to fall back asleep, to stay in bed. Nah. H heard me trying to be quiet. "You just getting to bed?"

"Nah, I've had my five hours, I'm up." Any bets I'll be up till at least 2:00 tomorrow morning?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

You would think an office of scientists and engineers could come up with a notification plan for severe weather

Having worked at MIT, may I just say: HAAAAA haaa haaaaaaa.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Not taking that bet. I'm the same way, but since I'm still working I have to force myself to bed by midnight and no later. I still wake up before the alarm at 6:15. Weekends, all bets are off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am sleepy now...
