I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Jilli, I'm still sending the ~ma for your mom, and some for you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's nothing like tossing and turning and finally opening your eyes to find out it's 2:37.

I am going to be fresh as a daisy for this wedding...

Go team Cass! Go team adorable! Go team Reason!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad you're being well cared for, Jilli. Much continuing ~ma for your mom and you.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

More ~ma headed your way from San Francisco. I'm glad you've got such good people loving and cosseting you.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

My only snow grocery wish item is wheat flour, because I made a loaf of bread that was FAIL. My success rate is much lower on wheat for some reason. Everything else I`m still pretty good on.

I attempted to use a buckwheat and spelt flour mix to make bread yesterday. It came out looking like badly-risen flapjack. Possibly more yeast next time.

Much ongoing ~ma, Jilli.

I have never mastered spelt. Everything I've made with it tasted like ass on rye.

I can do spelt - the trick seems to be the amount of salt and sugar that goes in. It's better mixed with another flour. Although apparently not buckwheat, as the brick on my kitchen counter testifies.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mmmm ass on rye.

I would mix in spelt for half the white flour in recipes with fairly good success. The weirdness I found was that things would go bad much faster. Muffins would get soggy and sour on the inside.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Snow day! Which they didn't announce until I went to bed, but for some reason I woke up at 5:30, so I checked then, and went back to bed until 8:45! Sweet!! It doesn't look like there is that much snow on the ground yet, but it is coming down hard. And almost horizontally.
