Wow, Sue! Actual smithing done by you!
I'm watching an episode of House Hunters and the client is a woman named Que, pronounced like the letter, and her daughter's name is Quejohnna. I just don't know about naming your child after yourself.
Don't people do that all the time? So-and-so and So-and-so, Jr.?
My neighbor who is an ER doc keeps a list of unusual names. His rule is only if he sees it in writing - no urban legends. He told me last night he once had a patient named "Little John Edward Smith Jr." His father's name was "John Edward Smith Jr." (Except I made up the actual names involved.)
There is a kid at my childrens' school whose given name is "Lil Rodrick." My other neighbor was worried that his son had a classmate named "Ratney," but it turns out the kid was mispronouncing "Rodney".
My brother named his son the English version of his name and I still don't know why he thinks he's so great that he should name another person after him.
I forgot about my two animal incidents this morning.
Just as I decide to kick my legs over the side of the bed to get up this morning, Oz decided to jump up on the bed. This led to me totally booting him in the head, and he went flying onto the floor. I was horrified at the time...he fell like a sack of bricks. He wasn't too affected. A minute later he almost knocked me over trying to get to his food dish.
Then I was waiting for the bus and a little chickadee flew into the all glass bus shelter and fell stunned onto the road. At first he looked head, but I knew if I didn't pick him up he'd be smooshed by a car. As soon as I touched him, he kind of came back to life, but was still a little stunned. I picked him up and didn't really know what to do. I held him for a couple minutes, thinking my warmth might help him, but then I put him down on the sidewalk and stayed there, still stunned. I then picked him up and moved him onto the grass under a shrub, so he wouldn't be so vulnerable. I hope the little guy is okay.
I am not convinced I won't get some disease from the bird.
Sue, last week the cat made me fall out of bed, and I'm still all bruised. So just consider it the universe righting itself.
So just consider it the universe righting itself.
Oh good. Universe, righted.
I can barely hold myself up to type, I am so tired from my weekend of blacksmithing.
That is so awesome.
