My brother named his son the English version of his name and I still don't know why he thinks he's so great that he should name another person after him.

I forgot about my two animal incidents this morning.

Just as I decide to kick my legs over the side of the bed to get up this morning, Oz decided to jump up on the bed. This led to me totally booting him in the head, and he went flying onto the floor. I was horrified at the time...he fell like a sack of bricks. He wasn't too affected. A minute later he almost knocked me over trying to get to his food dish.

Then I was waiting for the bus and a little chickadee flew into the all glass bus shelter and fell stunned onto the road. At first he looked head, but I knew if I didn't pick him up he'd be smooshed by a car. As soon as I touched him, he kind of came back to life, but was still a little stunned. I picked him up and didn't really know what to do. I held him for a couple minutes, thinking my warmth might help him, but then I put him down on the sidewalk and stayed there, still stunned. I then picked him up and moved him onto the grass under a shrub, so he wouldn't be so vulnerable. I hope the little guy is okay.

I am not convinced I won't get some disease from the bird.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sue, last week the cat made me fall out of bed, and I'm still all bruised. So just consider it the universe righting itself.

Oh good. Universe, righted.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can barely hold myself up to type, I am so tired from my weekend of blacksmithing.

That is so awesome.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wow, Sue! That is so exciting about the blacksmithing! That looks fantastic. I am very impressed.

Don't call me, call my awesome teacher. In the time I could maybe make a nail...she could forge a whole household of stuff.

It was great to learn, but I don't really know what I'll do with it. They only offer a basic class, my intstructor explained, because the OHS laws and liability risks mean they can't let contuing studies students use certain equipment. They suggest if anyone was desperate to learn more they hang around the metalwork shop and the tech would probably teach them.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

One of my first jobs was working for a major HMO and one of my duties was to enter the first names of babies. Upon birth, they are entered as Female Jones, Male Smith... I wish I had kept a list cause we saw some doozies. The one that sticks was Skye Blue.
