Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Man, I'm so disillusioned, Megan. I thought that all opera required fancy dresses.

... to be fair, the only opera I remember attending (The Marriage of Figaro, in Florence) I wore a knee-length polka-dot dress. So not exactly floor length or particularly fancy, although I like to think it has a vintagey kind of allure.

I called T-Mobile about my phone and they say I have to file a claim with UPS and then T-Mobile can send me a new phone.

I'm still outraged; I have had stuff delivered here by UPS for ten years without a problem. New guy, maybe?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sending much ~ma and good thoughts to Jilli and her mom. How scary!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

After picking the black suit,

megan, trusty our sense of style! Get fancy for the opera.

Hell, opening night at the SF Opera is one of the fanciest dress events in the country.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I dress for the opera; well, I wear heels anyway. It's just the others who don't. Some do, of course, but you also see jeans. I'm all for dressing up, but I think people should wear what they want--the important thing is that they go, not what they wear.

And sure, opening night is very fancy. Also fancy? The Nutcracker. People, especially all the little girls, dressed for that. It was super cute.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

After picking the black suit,

::fist pump::

Well, that was going to happen! It's a Black and White party! I need a black suit!

Maybe I should go to the opera. And wear a black suit.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Very spiffy, P-C.

megan, they invited you because you are cool, not because you look cool. (Not that you don't look cool.)I'm sure Buffistas can help you come up with something that says semi-formal scruffy chic and yet is still you.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Haven't watched this video yet:

What's causing the mysterious mass animal die-offs? Buttsecks.

Cindy Jacobs, a "respected prophet," says birds and fish may be dying off en masse because of the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. In other words: buttsecks kills.

"From Pokemon cards and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to Marilyn Manson and psychic hotlines, this nation is under siege," she warns in her new book.

But Marilyn Manson and Buffy have been around for a while. Why are they killing birds now?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Very nice, P-C!

Some days, I love my job. I bet 3 students that Auburn would win the game last night (yes, I went to Bama, but my family went/goes to Auburn so I always root for them as long as they're not playing Bama). 2 girls are now walking around school with 5 or so ponytails all over their heads and one boy is walking around school in the ugliest 1986-era prom dress (and I say that having gone to the prom in 1986).

They make me giggle every time I look at them.
