A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My ice scraper had little to no foreplay and ended up in the bedroom of a person I'd never seen before.

Apparently your ice scraper is my brother.

I'm not all that good at this stuff.

Hee. As opposed to my reputation as the Smoove B of the ice scraping world (there will be snow shovelling also).

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I miss snow days. I probably don't miss snow though. It's a dilemma.

I did the math. In one class, 65% of my students are earning and F. That's bad.

ita, unless you live in WeHo or Venice, everyone only lives near one of those pizza places. Though I will say Casa Bianca is completely of the yum. I'll take you after we have successful Indian.

Snow days, hmph. I've driven to work with 4 inches of snow on the ground. Well, what the wind wasn't blowing off, anyway. Watching transplanted Californians panic is amusing--unless they're on the highway panicking.

Trust my rage

Thanks again, flea and Calli. And thank you all for the kind words. Also, I feel the need to point out that I don't work for free. I get embarrassed some times at all the kinds words.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Snow days where you know well in advance are the best snow days.

Well, I came home from work and slept and I feel about a billion times better. Getting ready to have a salad all from my sunroom. Hopefully I will have a normal night tonight and be back on the right track for tomorrow and for NAMM!

So! I am going to be in Anaheim for this music retailers` convention this Friday through Sun. I anticipate much drooling over gear and possible bassist fangirling (Vic Wooten!) and have no real idea what my sched is going to look like. Planning on getting together with Kat & the fam for something or other on Sunday night. Probably going to get lori to take me Japanese grocery shopping. But I figure in all that, I`ll have to eat! So if LAistas would like to grab a bite at some point, I would love it. Will be somewhat limited in transportation. I know it`s a short time and short notice, so if it doesn`t work out that`s fine too, but I`m throwing it out there.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nonian, just because it's not pro bono doesn't mean you're not awesome. You chose this path as a lawyer, and you could have chosen a very different one.

Liese, glad you're feeling better.

Our wings are not tired.

Liese, glad you feel better! Wish I could visit you while you're in SoCal.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hey, I don`t work for free either! I live in a dream house I built to my specifications. I work in a town that people pay big bucks to come to vacation in. I basically do my hobby for my job and I set my own hours and can go gallivanting off for conventions and junk whenever I want to.

But I do work I am passionate about, that I believe makes a difference in the lives of people, and I could have been doing something else with my time. And that`s the choice you made too, and I`m proud of you and glad you`re in my circle of friends.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

People who live in snow country mock the South's snow days, but we have no chains, no snow tires, no snow shovels, no snow blowers and only a limited number of trucks to spread salt and gravel. It would hardly be cost effective to have them for one to five days a year. As far as I know, the only snowplows are at the airport. Enough people don't know how to drive on snow and ice that many roads are blocked by cars that have spun out.

We do know how to deal with heat.
