But would avoid wearing black to anyone else's wedding. That wedding dress is actually my go-to funeral dress now. Irish people go to a lot of funerals.

I have been to very few funerals. I don't remember what I wore to the last one, but I do remember that CJ was just over a year old. He got cranky so we went out to the lobby (not sure of the right term) where he got to run off some energy. And then he found a bank of light switches that were down low, the perfect height for him to play with. He flipped off the lights before I got to him and I wasn't sure which switches he flipped, so there was a bit of a light show while I tried to put things to rights.
Oh, and I'm awake. Plows cleared the road and the shopping center parking lot at 3:30 this morning. Tons of scrapping and then pushing the pile into a bigger pile somehow made even more noise than the scrapping.
Jars, that's a lovely wedding outfit!

Indeed. I'm in Ireland a lot for cousins'/other relatives' funerals. I need to try to go more to see people on happier occasions.
I would like a do-over on the weekend, please. On Friday I got a call from my husband that he'd come down with the stomach flu and needed me to come to his office and drive him home, so I spent the weekend nursing him back to health and figuring out how to entertain the baby and run the dog.
And I'm swamped here at work because some librarians are at a meeting in CA, and classes start today.
I just don't wanna.
You need to teach the baby to ride the dog, and then they can handle all that themselves.
I agree it is feeling like a very Mondayish Monday.
We've got about 6 inches of snow, and it's intermittently sleeting and supposed to sleet worse this afternoon. We've been out, eaten snow covered with maple syrup, gotten cold, come in, freaked out about cold toes, and are now eating waffles and watching TV.
It will be a lovely day, provided we don't ice up badly and lose power.
We have a two hour delay. I'm so glad it wasn't a snow day, although I think the roads here are ice under snow.
Maple syrup and snow sounds good!
ugh Sparky, I'm so sorry. I hope you and K stay healthy. and that DH recovers quickly.
I'm still having to remind myself that I don't have to brace for my boss any more. Whee!
I wonder what kind of snow we'll get here -- it's supposed to come on Wednesday. I would not say no to another snow day! But that seems pretty unlikely.
Flea, they are backing off significant freezing rain predictions. Cross your fingers.
Mr Peabody looks very funny running through snow up to his belly.
The news is talking about how the airlines "precancelled" flights.
