Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Crap. I'm sorry, flea. I hope something really wonderful turns up for him. Or for you. Or for both of you!

ita, hooray for a good ER experience, and holy hannah yes, date the nurse!

Blustery here. I'm hunkered on the sofa with hot cider and a blankee and the laptop, surfing with the earbuds in while H marinates in tv futbal. I have Fringe S2 dvds to watch while he monopolizes the tv. Life's pretty good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How incredibly frustrating, flea.

My sister has just dressed herself for the wedding out of *my* closet. Has she given me any suggestion about what I should wear? Nosirree bob.

Because books.

Oh, flea, that does suck. I'm sorry.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Blustery here.

is envious

We keep getting our rain forecast pushed back. I had been hoping for a nice, rainy fall day.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Blustery is a good word for it. I'm on the Oregon-Washington border and the high winds were just supplemented by thunder and a hailstorm - yet I can see the sun shining about 30 miles south of me. I kind of like it when the weather appears to be as indecisive as I am.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Paging Pix or Kat or maybe javachik or anyone who's done evaluations, really - I have to do these every two weeks for the four months of the program, so I'm planning on doing some strategic lowballing to give them room for improvement. Does that sound like a good idea? I rate them from 1 - 5 on set criteria and have space to write a few comments.

Also, hi Natterers! Hoping I can lurk and post here a bit on weekends.

I'm using our rain as an excuse not to go to the market and library, which is my normal routine, but was annoyingly disturbed by the unusual wait to get laundry done. But I did meet a nice neighbor, so that's of the good.

Oh flea, that sucks. A friend of mine had been working at a federal agency for a year as a temp, and then applied for ye job they basically opened for her--and didn't make the cut, because different people were judging it. Now she's unemployed and not sure what to do!

I'm sorry, flea.

I have to say, the butternut squash pasta I made last night was kind of an organizational pain, but it was tasty when it was done, and is just as delicious warmed up. I'm now toasting the squash seeds in the oven.
