From what I hear, the PBS version is edited.

Art Crawl!!!

Chicago PBS both runs Masterpiece at like 2 am on Tuesday following its Sunday airing AND has it available On Demand. (Cable.)

If you're local station does that you won't have to wait 2 weeks to get caught up. (PBS is running it in 4 parts.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Does anyone know what ShoppyBag is all about? I keep getting emails saying that a friend has picked a photo for me. Is this some kind of phishing thing?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is the PBS version edited? Or is it everything the Brits got?

There's got to be a few minutes missing from everything, to fit the intro and Masterpiece credits and etc.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The bad part of having a big family is that I've been to far too many funerals.

My Dad's side is a little more formal, but I've never heard anyone fuss about black one way or the other. I suppose if someone showed up dressed like a tart there were would be commentary.

My Mom's side trends hippie and there is usually something along the lines of "we should wear bright colors, we are celebrating a life..."

Both sides know that when I kick I want them in black and hats and veils and arm bands and RENDING THEIR CLOTHING. Ten points if you throw yourself on my coffin.

Not necessarily. The PBS broadcast was cut into different lengths than the ITV broadcast, so the pacing might be a little different, but the total number of running minutes is apparently the same. And the PBS showing won't have any commercials, unlike the ITV airing.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Skipping to the end to say that I've landed in LA, and I've sent an email to the LA-istas. Hope to see as many of you as I can while I'm very briefly here!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The only way this can be made better is if you agree to be buried inside a jumping castle.
