I'm pretty sure shrift will back me up.
I'm thinking that Wiseguy storyline was 1987-1988, and I think Starsky & Hutch ran from 1975 to 1979. Starsky & Hutch set a high bar for hurt/comfort and manly clutching (not to mention the cuddling), and they often dressed up as gay stereotypes and once slow-danced with each other in their captain's office, and it ended with a love triangle and Hutch climbing into Starsky's hospital bed, so...
Miami Vice was pretty darn slashy, too, circa 1984.
Bonanza was amazingly slashy.
I just tried on a dress I bought in July and it doesn't so much fit anymore. I am terribly dramatic about this sort of thing, but excuse me while I go leap off a cliff.
Additionally, I need to buy a floor-length formal dress that is also not strapless, and it seems like all the dresses that fit this criteria look like they were designed for people 20 years older than me. I understand that I need to dress conservatively on the ship, but... I also want to look my age.
Try two drops of alcohol to one drop of white vinegar for drying your ears. That's a remedy a swimming coach reommended. Vinegar neutralizes the alcohol sting.
I also saw ear plugs in the drugstore designed for swimmers with water in the ears.
And then when the heat stops the younger cat tries to beat the vent into producing more heat
He's sweet. Not always the brightest, but sweet.
Puppycat will sit in front of the living room vent with her face full in the warm air blast. Or she just goes and lies down full length in from of my bedroom heater. She is a heat ho.
Have y'all checked out Cake Wrecks today? There is a Sunday Sweets cake that I think everyone here would appreciate. It is near the end of today's post.
up until 4 last night. so sleeping in and feeling generally achy and yuck? just the late night or start of being sick? Guess I'll find out if I go to bed early tonight.
I am about two hours away from all that stuff. At the moment in question, I believe I was in my bathroom answering a call of nature. Which is so weird, how ordinary someone else's life-changing moment can be for you...it's sort of odd that I've never met Ms. Giffords, but I know a lot of her friends...Krysten Sinema, who seems to be Countdown's Designated Arizonan, was a college classmate. But she is a wunderkind and though we are the same age, was on about her fourth degree at that time...we've done some subsequent advocacy together, though.
It's a state-wide story because:
-Tucson is sort of our bookish, lefty, little brother. Shit like that really doesn't happen there...they're the ones who fight against sprawl and protect authentic Mexican food, now they have the mother of all redballs. They generally think they have it all over us, but they are probably not prepared for this.
-Giffords, despite being a public servant since she was in her twenties, actually appears to be One Of The Nicest People Ever and actually has "friends on both sides of the aisle" for real. Taking her out is like putting a hit on the Easter Bunny...I could not believe it. I would believe it more of Grijalva since he proudly takes unpopular positions. I think he's awesome, but we've discussed my going against the tide and whatever, right? Also, he's an uppity brown person and she's cute and blonde.
