Now tagless for your comfort.

Seriously, Gavin Newsome is enough for me to consider moving to San Francisco.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

All I could think was, "Man, this guy is HOT." And then Aasif looked at him and said, "You're a very attractive man."

I am told by people who work for him that he's ridiculously attractive in person, rather more so than on film. This, despite the hair. But he clearly bleaches his teeth.

Apparently Newsom couldn't help laughing every time Mandvi said that, and they had to reshoot the bit several times. Which, hey, at least he's got a sense of humor.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anyone ever used insulated curtains? Do they work? I've got a huge picture window in my living room with really old single-pane windows, and it's freezing. I looked into the shrink-plastic stuff, but a lot of the reviews say the adhesive doesn't work, and my frames are old wood that I wouldn't really trust a not-great adhesive to stick to.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I don`t think the former group knows what they`re in for and I don`t think the latter group will tell them because they`re just happy to have community involvement. I need a hot cocoa now.

I just barked with laughter.

amyth, that sucks!

I have never seen anyone remotely famous in my yoga classes, not that I've been to one in the last six months.

I don't know if you were looking at a particular brand but that has not been my experience. Usually it's impossible to get off when you take the shrinkwrap off.

I haven't used specifically insulated curtains, but in my old place, the kitchen was an addition built on a slab that was A LOT colder than the rest of the house, and the entgry was doorless. I hung a heavy blanket (thick fabric and lining) as a curtain and it kept the cold in the kitchen. The only drawnback is that they need to be kept closed all the time to work, so if you rely on that window for light, I'd go with shrinkwrap.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know, right? I totally had an inapporpriate outburst in the middle of it all where I may have told them I didn`t want their help if they weren`t willing to get their hands bloody. Oops.

But they were all so, but where can we find these poor unfortunate children who need help? Will you bring them to our door all rosy cheeked? I was all, no motherfuckers, you need to go to where they are, and you need to go every day for years. I have addicts lined out the door, but I`m not bringing them near you because you`re so fucking clueless! Okay, I didn`t say it that way, but I nearly did.

Ooh, and I second the rec for Framework for Understanding Poverty. Which I need to reread.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

As it turns out, no big. I went online and rescheduled for 10:45 tomorrow morning. Now if I can just get all of my laundry, cleaning, packing, diaper-hole cutting, nailpolishing, iphone syncing, f2f organizing, boarding pass printing, showering, and emailing done tonight, then I should be able to take the bus downtown, get it done and get the bus back in time for my ride to the airport.
