Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

F Valentino, M Flynn, C Chaplin. Sorry, Charlie, I know the most about your personal life (of these 3) and it freaks me out.

Go, brenda!

Mac Mini plugged into the TV works great! My Mini just stopped working, so I need to decide whether to replace (possibly repair, I suppose. I should look into that). I think I'd have to convert all the video sitting on my hard rives to watch it through an AppleTV, but that might be an economical solution. Hm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Eddie Izzard.

Hit it like the fist of God!

Zappos brings me shoes day before yesterday. I try not to shop there anymore.

Speaking of vax and anti-vax, I just saw a link to Jenny McCarthy bodycount. Harsh story, bro.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From ita's link:

In 2002 she gave birth to a son named Evan. In 2006 she started promoting Evan as being a “Crystal Child” and herself as being an “Indigo Mom”.

Is the Crystal Child/Indigo Mom trend over now? I wanna google those phrases and get graphs of their usage over time....

I was totally confusing Erroll Flynn with Douglas Fairbanks. I'm not sure if that changes my decision.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I don't find Zappos particularly speedy

Bzuh? I've been amazed at the speed of Zappos delivery: they often outrace Amazon, in fact. Like, order after 4 PM on Wednesday, shoes are delivered Thursday. Astonishing.

Maybe the UPS trucks get lost in SF? *grins*

ita, I just saw that bodycount site too. YIKES. But it's consistent with what my brother (an infectious disease specialist) says: and it's not just the unvaccinated children who die, but as they age those kids will be at risk all their lives until they do get vaccinated. It's an ongoing public health issue, and it shocks me how it can be linked so directly to one fraudulent physician.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Jenny McCarthy scares me. She has that much crazy. And that much influence. Anti-vax is something I have a huge problem wrapping my head around, and I can wrap my head around a lot of stuff I virulently disagree with.

Conspiracy theories are weird. Once someone believes one, they reject all contrary evidence as being part of the conspiracy.

I think all kids should be taught how to think. Or how not to think wrong. (i.e. how to avoid common types of irrationality.)

Less Wrong is an interesting blog that deals with this....

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I've only ordered from Zappos twice I think. My budget doesn't really allow for much in the way of new clothes.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I've been amazed at the speed of Zappos delivery: they often outrace Amazon, in fact. Like, order after 4 PM on Wednesday, shoes are delivered Thursday. Astonishing.

Amazon actually bought Zappos a year and a half ago or so - since then, the delivery time has varied from old-Zappos to Amazon-regular.

That said, Zappos, Amazon, and Target are my main shippers, which is a lot these days. (We got our Christmas tree through Target.com! It was awesome.) My UPS guy just sighs every time he sees me.

Skimmed, but I will just F and then C all of Perkin's choices, Paul Gross arms for JZ, offer sympathy for msbelle, and ~ma for WindSparrow.
