I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

And you don't even have to shell out that much. I bought a Mac Mini to act as my TV and if I were to resell it today, I'd be lucky to get $300 for it despite it having had extremely light use. Ah....depreciation.

hip deep in pie

I'm home sick. My cold isn't so bad, but I had absolutely no energy this morning and could not get out of bed.

On the plus side, my KitchenAid Mixer arrived today. Glad I don't have to schlep that home from the post office.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Conversation went well, and I don't think it was apparent that I was shaking like a leaf.

Now I just have to have the same convo with like three other people. Joy!

I'm pitching hard for a promotion this year, and at the level I'm at, getting to the next level up is a PROCESS involving appications and interviews and, oy, lining up people in senior leadership in various parts of the firm who will agree to act as sponsors and advocates throughout the process. So this is what I'm doing now, and man.

But as it turns out, two of the super high level prominent people I've been hoping to ask are both in the office today, so that's at least pushed me to bite the bullet and make my case. (They're actually based on either coast, so this is a rarity gettting to speak to them in person.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have Apple TV and have been watching all kinds of streaming Netflix and iTunes on it. Finally watching Dexter, for example. We defintely like it, but I think the Mac Mini sounds like an even better idea.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I have a cold. I barely managed to get out of bed, but I needed to pack up my desk for yet another office move.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Charlie Chaplin
Rudy Valentino
Errol Flynn

Yes it is infusion day, and the person who brings the drugs is running late.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

JZ, I'm so happy to hear that the new job is going so well! You definitely deserve it.

My onerous task for the day (bloodwork) is done. I really should call back the PT about making an appointment, but maybe I will make that tomorrow's onerous task.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

C Errol Flynn (I'm probably too old for him), M Valentino (I don't know shit about him but DREAMY), F Chaplin (wait, can he be played by RDJ?)

Wow, this phone conference is boring.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

It usually happens to me when I'm overtired,

I have a feeling it's this. there's been a bit of a reunion for me and a few of my Bronzer buddies and i've been spending and exorbitant amount of time on the computer reading things.
