Conversation went well, and I don't think it was apparent that I was shaking like a leaf.
Now I just have to have the same convo with like three other people. Joy!
I'm pitching hard for a promotion this year, and at the level I'm at, getting to the next level up is a PROCESS involving appications and interviews and, oy, lining up people in senior leadership in various parts of the firm who will agree to act as sponsors and advocates throughout the process. So this is what I'm doing now, and man.
But as it turns out, two of the super high level prominent people I've been hoping to ask are both in the office today, so that's at least pushed me to bite the bullet and make my case. (They're actually based on either coast, so this is a rarity gettting to speak to them in person.)
We have Apple TV and have been watching all kinds of streaming Netflix and iTunes on it. Finally watching Dexter, for example. We defintely like it, but I think the Mac Mini sounds like an even better idea.
I have a cold. I barely managed to get out of bed, but I needed to pack up my desk for yet another office move.

I read one of the vaccine-autism study articles on CNN, and the comments are already filling with anti-vaxx conspiracy theorists. Bah.
I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my new smartphone, but I've been spoiled by Amazon & Zappos, since apparently I won't get it until next week. WTF! Don't these companies know I demand instant gratification?
