Hot tamale! You look great.
It's rainy here so I just made Mexican cococa for the fam. Matilda's napping, Emmett's doing homework.
Tonight there will be popcorn.

Question for the Buffista Hivemind: if I take the pieces for a project with me tonight to a low-key socializing thing, am I crazy enough to start sewing a skirt by hand? I kind of think I am.
Jilli, I bring my knitting with me to low-key social events all the time. Even fairly complicated stuff.
I'll take your side, ita. Red shoes can be OTT, especially when they're not balanced by anything else red.

Oh, I bring mending and minor alteration projects with me all the time, too. But I've never thought about sewing a skirt by hand; that's the crazy part.
Isn't the official dresscode for the event OTT??
(ita's, not Jilli's)
OK, so we have these creepy t jillifont spiderlike cricket things t /jillifont that even unnerve me with their crazy jumping. They're harmless, but anyway. They make for GREAT Loki entertainment when he's out on his leash. Got him up and down the whole block, since they are everywhere. I don't think he realized he wasn't chasing the same one. Or cared. 20 minutes and only came in because MK needed his shot.
I think you've sewn skirts by hand when I've been around and it wasn't like it took over the room or even the couch. I don't see why you couldn't do it at a low-key social scenario.
I do not feel like being social tonight. Drat. Need to let people know.
Those sound like camel crickets, sarameg. We have them in NC, too. Leifur's great about killing them. Although last night he left a mostly dead one in my bed as a gift, which I could have lived without.
Those cave crickets are freaky looking. I always jump at first, thinking they're big-ass spiders when I see them at my parents' place.
