Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was going to say something about "hold on" to msbelle, but then my mind went to a Wilson Phillips place.

And I just went to a Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle place.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Best. Singalong. Ever.

brillig

I have my cell phone! I have pushed buttons and set ringtones and looked at pictures and boggled at the brave new world that has such wonders in it. I do not, however, have a phone number on it, yet, and I'm going to wait a while in case it's still processing. Hubby has given me a lecture on using the headset because I'll get brain worms from having it near my head. Considering how little I'll be using the thing, I think this is a moment for "yes, dear" and ignoring him.

I have a number! I'm part of the 21st century!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If he catches you, tell him the brain worms made you do it.

NO hivemind, a friend on FB asks: "Looking for New Orleans restaurants for a tasty, maybe not too fancy birthday dinner. Cochon, Restaurant August, Brigsten's are on the suspect list (as are the usual suspects Emeril's, Commander's Palace, etc.). Whattya got?

Also, any good recommendations for more casual places that won't hate the presence of a toddler appreciated."

thanks

oh and I already linked him up with Nora's blog.

Compassionately intolerant

The onerous tasks are quavering at the sight of me...I am cutting them down so fast and furiously.

Another HUGE one was updating my contacts both in excel and in my email broadcast system. Sheesh, that was tedious, but I did it!

I've also gone through the dribs and drabs of paper with notes about various messages I needed to send ages ago, projects that need follow up and things to look up. I've gone through, and done, nearly all of them. The ones not done are on a clean new to-do list so at least they are organized and I can shred about a 3/4 inch pile of scraps.

My shoulders are on FIRE, I've been hunched over a hot keyboard for so long.

My task doing is mighty! Fear me?

Now to try and relax enough to sleep.
