Because books.

Aw, msbelle. You made me snerk and sniffle in the same post.

Brian Williams is hysterical. How did I not know this?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I did almost none of my work-related onerous tasks. But when I got home I fed the dog and went climbing, and that was good.

Now I am avoiding doing the dishes. And eating leftovers.

As for the topic du evening, I prefer grey.

msbelle, sometimes I think Noah and mac are sharing some sort of developmental state. Noah does all of this shit designed to piss us off and when we get mad, he freaks out and cries and needs to be reassured that we still love him.

Yesterday he bit Grace on the arm hard enough to leave teeth marks. Grace is a perfect target (which long term terrifies me) as she cannot make noise and when he was punished he went into hysterics about how we didn't love him anymore.

The whole thing is beyond exhausting, let alone day in and day out.

Here's to hoping smoother days are on the horizon for you.

I should be in bed. I tried to go to bed, but then I noticed a handful of tiny spiders on my ceiling. I think they came from the Xmas tree. So I decided to kill the spiders. (Normally I would let them go, but one came within a few inches of landing on my head the other day and I am still suitably squicked.)

Then I remembered I am starting a yoga class tomorrow. So I thought I should set out my chequebook, yoga mat and clothes now, or else I will forget them in the AM. Took my yoga mat off the shelf and noticed a brownish stain on it...a stain that smells strongly of cat pee. So I went for the second mat, but the 1st mat was sitting on top of the 2nd, so it's getting sprayed with pet odor spray, just in case. I knew I could still smell cat pee out in that foyer!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Have you just never listened to me swoon over him? He's my pretend tv newsman boyfriend. He's smart and he's funny and he's pretty and he flirts with Jon Stewart. He's perfect.

I don't know why I'm trying to buy an HDTV. Clearly I'm not meant to have nice things.

No way man. I am flexible on most things US vs Brit. But Cheque is the one true spelling. A check is a mark you put by a completed item on your to do list.

ETA: I am also inflexible on the pronunciation of niche and foyer. (Neesh and foy-ay.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh msbelle, I'm sorry your raspberry zingers are gone, but it sounds like the everything ended on a sweet note.

DH slept at home last night--two nights in a row! But he's back at the hospital tonight. We drove him over with the kids in pjs, and now they are asleep in my bed. My poor MiL--there's still fluid in her lungs which means the infection is still there. I am unhappy about this.
