Oh, man. This is TOTALLY me. I'm almost 40 and still haven't gotten over the loss of gold stars for doing my chores.
The gold star economy goes in entirely the wrong direction. My income is now higher than when I was a kid, why has the supply of gold stars so woefully failed to keep pace? Hell, if it behaved the same way, by now I should have an entire bookcase of trophies engraved with "CLEANED ALL THE THINGS".
...Ok, a shelf at least.

Whoo! And not a moment too soon. It's nippy out there! But I don't need to stoke the fire now because I am all steamy.
