hip deep in pie

My cats aren't chipped. I am a little dubious about putting something like that under the skin. Also, they don't go outside unsupervised.

Clio was just settling down beside me when Oz came along and reached across my legs and took a swipe at her. Oz pretty well down to the basement on his own, because he knew he was in trouble.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Having met Sparky's DH, I think he is very much a pet person.

Silly, but a pet person.

I'm supposed to be doing stuff that I don't wanna do.

Librarian Warlord

He's definitely a pet person. And practical is not a word that I'd use in conjunction with most pets, esp. mine. She's definitely a luxury item. And she makes me happy.

Art Crawl!!!

My cat isn't chipped - but she isn't an indoor/outdoor kitty. Although, had I had Ivan chipped - maybe I would have gotten him back.

beagle/Cav cross pup - evilly cute.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Nathaniel doesn't really even go outside , but he will escape if he can , doesn't come when called and we have earthquakes. and while he has a collar -- it is something he can get out of. I tend toward extreme levels of responsibility when it comes to most things , including pets.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Well, 2011 is at least starting on a good note. I just ran the numbers and I think my bonus (the first in 4 years), will be about 25% of my salary, mostly due to my own project. It at least makes all the late nights and sales trips feel worth it. Now, I just have to last through March to get it.

Maybe start a hunt for a super cute collar?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not a pet person, so that might be why I completely don't get how you can value a pet but not want to take simple (and I'm not talking chipping, just wearing ID) step to protect an animal that's apparently at risk of wandering.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, megan! That'll be nice - hope you can hang in there through March.

I think chipping the critters is probably a good idea, but I haven't done it. The cats do wander, and Walter will take off and roam the neighborhood if given the opportunity (I put a lot of effort into not giving him the opportunity, but...border collie brains) Maybe once Wednesday's new kitten vet stuff is done, which will actually be soon.
