"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What is the statute of limitations on infatuation?

Yeah, I think by this point you can call it a committed relationship.

So I was worked up about making a multimedia presentation for the Sunday School class at this event tomorrow. Got there tonight and asked, was I doing a class? Oh yes, they said, the junior high. Dude. A) Totally relieved because I can handle junior high kids. But B) seriously, they should have told me this before. I would have brought completely different stuff. And now I'm procrastinating on prep for that. I think I'm just going to wing it. I'm pretty tired and I need to be in there early tomorrow.

It's run off with my gift certificate.

Yay marathoners, and saras neighbors.

Perkins, you're going to love having a housecleaner! I've scaled mine back to ad hoc, usually just before guests come. Mostly so that I don't have to mop all of my hardwood floors myself!

Hardwood floors is totally why I'm contemplatin one! My roomie and I are mostly doing ok keeping the kitchen and living room under control, but neither of us is deep cleaning, just doing dishes and picking stuff up.

Oh, and my day has been spent at a gay dance convention, doing west coast swing, waltz, and two-step classes, and I'm going to the ball tonight!

The hardwood is the easy part for me. It's the dusting and the clutter that kill me. I might pay someone for the dusting after open window season. Clutter is my own.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My sister has always downplayed any geeky inclinations she's ever had, and mocking mine my entire life. I just got off the phone with her after listening to her talk about how she was arguing with her husband over the impossibility of Superman being able to turn back time by flying around the world (in the first Christopher Reeve movie), and then having her tell me how she and her hub discuss whether Supes could have sex without being too, um, vigorous in the act. I told her how much I love that she married a geek, because it brought out all those latent geeky tendencies in her! She told him that I called him a geek, and I made her point out to him that I was being complimentary.

Oh, and she's hoping to hear back on that job interview early next week! They've already done the background check and are expiditing the hiring process. It's doing IT for the Venetian in Vegas, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her!

See? And I don't have much clutter (what clutter I do have is dealt with before the cleaners come), and I loathe mopping.

I used to have them come 2x a month, then 1x a month, and I just didn't have enough for them to clean. So now I call if I am having houseguests.
