Woo hoo, Vortex! I like to hear that.
Am giving ointment one more try after washing my face. Also took more Benedryl and am going back to bed. I have four meetings tomorrow, including one at 8 am that's a 45 min. bike ride away, and have to try and do all the crap I didn't get done today.
Yay walking to car kind of date!
Ooh. Fingers crossed, Vortex. And if nothing else, at least you can count an excellently gentlemanly new acquaintance.
OK, question: Roommate is supposed to give me rent money today. Hasn't yet (might still, I'm really hoping). Lease says he owes me $50 for each day it's late. Problem being, I'm leaving at 1pm tomorrow for a trip and won't be home til Tuesday. Thoughts? (ETA: Just saw him and he gave me 2/3rds of the rent, because he pays it in cash and can't get more out of the ATM until tomorrow. Not thrilled about that, but will take it)
Sounds promising, Vortex.
Good luck with the eyelid and the meetings, smonster.
Break a leg, but not on your bike, tomorrow, Smonster!!
Vortex, sounds promising!
I hope you wake to a much better day, smonster. In the meantime, may you sleep well.
Of course, I've probably jinxed it by talking about it.
Break a leg, smonster!
I loved how Buffistas came through for sj. And yes, I agree that fashion and sizes are ridiculous - and this comes from a rather thin woman who comes across, every now and then, in shirts that designed so they won't go through the shoulder line. I still remember one tank top I really wanted badly, but they made its proportions all wrong. Who the fuck let these people design clothes, is beyond me.
Ginger, ~ma to your sick relatives. And to you, who's visiting them.
Andi, it's wonderful you've tried to donate. And the reasoning you wrote about here, of "I wrote it here but should do it ASAP" is something I can echo so well.
And of course, fingers crossing for Vortex!
And now, getting ready to leave the house. After two terror attacks in two days I'm starting to be slightly worried (new technique: drive-by shooting at cars in the West Bank. Which is where I am), mostly for my family - I usually take the buses. But for now, until this will pass, I'd stick to "need to" rides only, and pray they'll continue to focus on roads to small settlements in the meantime. And also remind myself I still have more chances to die in a car crash. And I also hope that the campus library I'm going to today is open. You see, they don't mention in their site the opening hours. Again, people who can't think of their clients are beyond me.
