Somehow it seems like the perfect Bitches activity, co-operative wedding dress searching.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My wedding dress [link] is tucked in the back of a closet. I should find a home for it.
Pretty! Could you get it altered? I would think that wouldn't take too long.
Eta: that was addressed to sj, Ginger's dress is also pretty!
McCrea Couture goes from x-small to 5x. They have a variety of options. No idea what their turn around time is, though. [link]
Could you get it altered?
If it's too small? I'm not sure.
I think the bridal industry never changed with the rest of the ready-to-wear sizing.
This, pretty much. It's not a conspiracy from the bridal industry to make women feel fat, it's just that they never bothered to change their sizing to keep up with the rest of the clothing world. (Where the thinking is, if we relabel all our size 12s as 10s, women will think they've lost weight and buy our clothes! Nobody ever seems to think, "Hey, if we relabel all our size 12s as 10s, women who know they're the same size as last year and buy things without trying them on will be PISSED OFF THAT THEY HAVE TO COME BACK.")
Here's one: [link]
Or you can do what my tall and kinda square-bodied cousin did--she found a vintage pattern and got a local seamstress to make it for her. Looked fabulous!
I'm possibly just to opinionated.
I think your wedding dress is something you get to be as opinionated as you want about!
And margaritas is totally hydrating.
