Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Mostly lurking...

As far as I can see the only bad thing is flying with them. Just know you're going to be searched and be grateful you aren't Arab-lookin'.

For the record, I have had NO troubles flying with my CPAP. Though, it’s so flippin’ huge that I always have to check baggage. But, I’ve never had the little search note in my bags since flying with it, so… also, I just carry a letter saying what it is. But, I don’t care about being searched. It kind of makes me laugh. When I flew to MI this summer I was searched on the way there. The guy opened my carryon suitcase, looked at me and said, “Are you a preschool teacher? I’ve never seen anyone fly with this many books and games!”

But damn it, I would like a week or at least a day of people being nice to me.

I would like to live closer so I could be nice every day, with quiche (on my mind tonight) and snuggles with the kids, and brownies, and wine for us, much good chatting, and dirty looks at the neighbors and evil bosses.

Mom and I went everywhere looking for a simple dress for my wedding and found nothing. It’s too late to order a proper wedding dress, and I way overdid it walking today. I am ridiculously cranky right now, and the body image demons are attacking.

DISLIKE!

I just ordered something that Val found for me the other day, but I think it is going to be a size to small.

Oh, YAY! I’m so glad you ordered that. And when it comes, if it’s too small, we’ll find an amazing seamstress to make it work. When will it get here?

I'm possibly just to opinionated.

You’re allowed, my friend! And seriously, there are some magician seamstresses out there. If you like the dress when it comes, we’ll make it work.

In mememe, I am exhausted. Being effective with everyone at work is exhausting. I can't wait till they all chill and don't have 500 questions a day (which will be when they all leave in June next year). But, mostly right now I'm just pissed at the "new school" that shot off from my old school. Apparently, they're using my after school schedule, to the T, including a day that is entirely my concept. How do they think that is ok? I mean, it's one thing to say, "Wow, we really liked how vw did a cooking day, a craft day, a game day, etc." But, to use the day that was my concept, and use the letter I sent to the parents that described what that day would be to further their planning is just SO not ok in my book.

There's nothing I can do, and I'll let it go. But right now, I'm just fit to be tied.

Steph!

What's the recommended method for getting odors like smoke out of something you don't want to wash, like a corset? Cheap vodka in a spray bottle? Do you dilute it with water?

Yes. Cheap vodka + water, usually a 1:1 ratio.

I'm possibly just to opinionated.

No such thing, especially when it comes to your wedding dress. I am a scatterbrain AND a skimmer, so please remind me: when do you need the dress by?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Skimming along - paging Teppy, P-C, Nanita, or anyone whose drug Google-fu is better than mine: does Tobradex opthalmic contain a sulfa drug? B/c my eyelid is worse after my nap, and I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer. I am allergic to sulfa, and told the resident, but I'm wondering if he might have forgotten that when the attending recommended prescribing this stuff.

Jilli, November 12th. And if you happen to know of the perfect brown red lipstick, I would be very grateful. Everything seems to want to turn pink or orange on me.

Ginger, that is pretty, but I don't love the neckline.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And if you happen to know of the perfect brown red lipstick

MAC Del Rio

Thanks, Cass. I'll look into that.

What Cass said. MAC Del Rio. Or you could look at NARS Shanghi Express or Sephora Flame.

Our wings are not tired.

Smonster, nope, it does not.

According to the PI, though, its side effects are: localised ocular toxicity and hypersensitivity, including lid itching and swelling and conjunctival erythema.
