Spidra, next time you buy chips, look for ones that list the potassium (and have twice as much potassium as sodium). Then you can eat them because you need the electrolytes.
ChiKat, lots of ~ma for your family. So sorry for your loss. Also, I do hope you get rid of whatever bug is bugging you.
Actually, too much potassium has made me feel this way before, too (my mom has used salt substitute in the past). The best solution is for me to not eat potato chips. When I'm eating low-glycemic, these would be verboten. :)
Tep, I've read that it can be helpful for the other dog to see/smell the body. We brought Baile back so Betsy would know what happened to her "sister". She's buried out here, which is totally against CC&Rs but we didn't get caught for it. I still have her collar in here where I write, but I don't touch it because Betsy gets psyched when she hears her tags jingle. But there is a shrine in here because she sat here while I worked so often.

My experience is with bonded pairs of cats, but I can vouch. Marie not only saw Max's body, she saw him being put to sleep. As opposed to Seamus, who only saw Rigatoni being taken out of the house in his carrier.
Marie seems to be handling the situation fairly well less than a month on. While after more than a year, Seamus seems to be still grieving and waiting for Rigatoni to come home.
Maybe it's their different personalities. Marie is more aloof, and Seamus is more sensitive. So take it for what it's worth.
Oh man, with Taz at the vet for the third time this week and this pet death conversation, I am bumming out hard!
Um, not to say this isn't an awesome and valid and sweetly sad conversation! No one should stop talking about it. Just having a tough pet week. Taz is such a sweetie pie, I know he's uncomfortable and likely in pain, and he's just so sad and sweet and lovey and all, "mommy, please make it better?"
He has the crystals and stones floating around in his bladder (again) and I'm totally paranoid about blockage.
Any pet~ma for poor Taz would be most appreciated.
Tom's at the vet with him today, I couldn't do it for a third time.
I hope Taz is feeling better soon!
Oh, poor Taz. I hope the vet can do something to take care of the bladder problems soon.
(((Nora))) Much get better ~ma for Taz.
