Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I've read that it can be helpful for the other dog to see/smell the body.

My experience is with bonded pairs of cats, but I can vouch. Marie not only saw Max's body, she saw him being put to sleep. As opposed to Seamus, who only saw Rigatoni being taken out of the house in his carrier.

Marie seems to be handling the situation fairly well less than a month on. While after more than a year, Seamus seems to be still grieving and waiting for Rigatoni to come home.

Maybe it's their different personalities. Marie is more aloof, and Seamus is more sensitive. So take it for what it's worth.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh man, with Taz at the vet for the third time this week and this pet death conversation, I am bumming out hard!

Um, not to say this isn't an awesome and valid and sweetly sad conversation! No one should stop talking about it. Just having a tough pet week. Taz is such a sweetie pie, I know he's uncomfortable and likely in pain, and he's just so sad and sweet and lovey and all, "mommy, please make it better?"

He has the crystals and stones floating around in his bladder (again) and I'm totally paranoid about blockage.

Any pet~ma for poor Taz would be most appreciated.

Tom's at the vet with him today, I couldn't do it for a third time.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, poor Taz. I hope the vet can do something to take care of the bladder problems soon.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Can I assume Aims has already seen Daniel Radcliffe singing The Elements?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sending pet~ma for Taz.

Having deep thoughts, following yesterday's meeting with uni people, about such things as why they are so against me going part-time, and what their hidden agendas are.

In my experience most of the time people aren't acting on some hidden agenda, they are just trying to minimize any changes to their own routine. I'm sorry you are getting stuck in the middle of it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh no, Nora! Lots of ma for Taz and y'all.

Things with B are going quite well. Our friend picked him up at the airport and then they picked me up, and he got out of the car and gave me a big hug and kiss with no hesitation. So nice not to have any bs, just two people who really like each other. And then we proceeded to get drunk on Frenchman St, like you do. Slept in this morning, he's off to a meeting and I'm still in pjs.

Excellent, smonster. I hope you two have lots of fun this weekend.

Edit: Thanks for all the ~ma, guys, it means a lot.

We knew he had this issue when we adopted him, and I'm so glad we did- we have the inclination and resources to be able to care for him the way he needs. But it's so hard to see him having such a tough time. And I hate thinking that he's gonna have to go under again. (Vet update from Tom: they are going to do the procedure to remove the blockage, we don't have an estimate yet though.)
