Yes, we pitched it as safety, lower attrition/higher success rates, and staff longevity. We'll see how the funders react. So far I am getting praise to high heaven - it's nice to feel competent. I am bringing a crazy potpourri of skills and experiences to the table, and am using every damn last one.

Am stuck in dealer service purgatory. Came in for overdue oil change, need new battery urgently and all new tires. Tires will have to wait a bit. I figure nearly 7 yrs, 70K miles is pretty good for those components. Now I just want to get home to animals. Also, iPhone battery dying. Help...

Oh dear. A student just emailed me to find out the time and place of the makeup exam for the midterm. That exam ended an hour ago. (I tell them all that, if they sign up for the makeup exam, they need to copy down the time and place, because that information will not be posted publicly. He says he wrote it down but lost his notebook.)
