Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Laura!

Also, they're goooone! However, in the shuffle of my having to drive their car, then them having to ride with me (with my sister in the back of a small king cab), my driving glasses have gone missing.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My mother informs me that my tastes are too cheap, and I need to think of something more expensive that I want for a birthday present. (She's suggested a new TV. I said OK, but apparently I wasn't enthusiastic enough about it, so I need to think of something expensive that I can sound enthusiastic about wanting.)

OK, I think I can be enthusiastic about wanting an electric keyboard, because there's no room for a piano in my apartment. Maybe now my mom will stop being all sad that I don't want jewelry. Making music is suitably girly. (Plus, playing the piano is something I actually like doing.)

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

It also served to remind me to dowload the CD for my step-father's birthday.

Thanks very much, Laura! I'm glad to hear they enjoy it. Neat that they met in community chorus. I hope they still sing together. That's something I've never had in any of my relationships.

Electric keyboard sounds good, Hil. And if she still wants to spend more, get one with weighted keys. I used to think a piano player friend of mine was being a princess for insisting on weighted keys, but after having tried to play a bit on my cheap M-Audio, I realize the weighted keys really make a difference.

As for the guy on Jdate? It could be a mistake but I have to say in my own experience on personals sites, there are a lot of clueless guys who take a blunderbuss approach to it. And they really are clueless enough to open with a line like that.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Right. I've gotten dressed, taken meds, cleaned the toilet and bathroom sink, started laundry, put the kettle on, and now I will fold more clothes while watching The Walking Dead. Then I will walk my rent check and dog to my landlady, fix and eat some lunch, and pay bills. Then work stuff, I think. Rewards will be buying my plane ticket, making a hotel reservation, and the tea.

If anyone wants to play the productivity game on email, that'd be cool, too.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

A setback for the pro-cilanto-istas

I read that yesterday and immediately thought of the Buffistas! And also checked my pantry, because half of the stuff in there is from TJs.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow! That is productivity, smonster. I've emptied a few boxes in the kitchen. A place for everything and everything in its place, still a long way off.

I will count watching Sunday Morning with DH as productive because we don't get to do that much together that is relaxing with all the busy. And I took my vitamins! That one gets skipped too often too.

I hope they still sing together.

The parentals are too cute for words. One or the other will say something and the other will sing a few bars of some tune. Marlin will comment on the sky and she will sing Stormy Weather. She asks if he would like tea and he will respond with a chorus of Tea for Two. I think Mom was 67 when they got married. 22 years later and still with the holding hands and being adorable.

And yet of course my sibs don't think it will last. Families!

Aw, Laura, that's lovely.

Have put away t-shirts and socks, purged a few unneeded clothes, emptied the bottom of the dishwasher. Back to folding and tv. And tea.

I just read the recall notice at work and need to do a thorough combing of fridge and pantry when i get home, for i heart both cilantro and TJ products.
