Nora, I'm sorry about your grandmother.
Omnis, how frustrating that it is so difficult to get something fixed.
G is really trying my patience today.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm herding passive-aggressive ADHD cats. We are at the inevitable point at which my mother hates everyone else and my sister hates me. I have, however, escaped from them to frantically write and scan pictures for the service they've set up for TOMORROW. It won't be in the paper until tomorrow morning. His wife is too ill to come. He was cremated. Why, why, why?

Ugh Ginger. That sucks you have to be the herder. Much ~ma to you.
I only have to herd two people; they're just very unherdable. I always have to herd them, because without herding, my mother would either still be talking to some guy she just met or trying to figure out what to wear and my sister would be taking copious notes and then telling everyone the wrong thing. The granddaughter is doing the real herding; I just don't understand this particular decision.
Oy vey, Ginger. Much coping ~ma for you.
IOsortameN: Nate received his first progress report from his new school yesterday and for the first time ever, the boy got a straight A report card. Far, far cry from the Ds & Fs he was getting in the Public School From Hell in Jacksonville.
Best part, though, wasn't the grades; it was the comments made by his teachers. All of them uniformly praised his willingness to work and for Humanities, his teacher commented on his sense of humor and what an exceptional vocabulary he has, even going so far to say that on one of their recent tests, the definition that Nate gave was better than the one stated by the textbook.

(Cause that tag just can't close...)
Sorry, Ginger.
Ginger, that sucks.
Barb, that is the total and utter opposite of suck. I'm glad that Nate found a place where he can prosper.
Way to go Nate!
Much ~ma to your grandmother, Nora.
Ginger, I hope this all passes quickly. A death in the family is stressful enough without all the family craziness.
Congrats to Nate on his report card!
Thanks for the hugs and moral support. It makes a difference because I really am pretty isolated here in the belly of the beast.
Just heard a track from my album will be played on Adventures in Sound 91.7 Austin tomorrow. No one in my household knows or cares, but it's a nice pick-me-up for me.
I hope Buffistas have splendid Fridays, an aperitif to a sumptuous weekend.
